成人论坛 Online GCSE students are celebrating today after collecting their GCSE exam results.听
98.1% of students taking online standalone maths and English GCSEs at 成人论坛 achieved a pass in this year鈥檚 exams.听听
- 99.4% of students sitting their GCSE English Online passed 听听
- 97.1% of students sitting their GCSE maths Online passed 听听
Many online GCSE students are learners who resit maths, English or both, to continue in education or progress their career.听听
This includes mature students who need these GCSEs to progress in the workplace, learners who want to retrain, learn new skills or may have missed the chance to go to university and want to study at degree level.听

Benjamin achieved a Grade 8 in his GCSE English Online programme via City of Oxford College and University Centre this year.听听
Benjamin said: “I am really pleased, and I鈥檇 definitely recommend studying your GCSEs online. It’s a necessary step to develop your career, which has been the case for me, and also helps you develop general life skills. 听
鈥淎s for the college, I would absolutely recommend them. The teaching was well planned and comprehensive, considering we only had a year to do it. They also have been incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the whole process. Not to mention that the course was even free. 听听
鈥淭hank you to my teachers for all of your help and good luck with your next cohort.鈥�听
Having secured his results, Benjamin will now go on to train to become a secondary maths teacher.听
Siobhan Tobin achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE English Online and a Grade 8 in GCSE maths Online via Guildford College.听
Siobhan said: 鈥淚 am really really happy and did better than I expected.鈥�听
Siobhan is a mum of four and didn鈥檛 get her GCSEs the first time round and thought she had better get them under her belt now for employment purposes in the future.听
Abena Kokuro achieved a Grade 7听in her GCSE听Maths Online programme and a Grade 6 in her GCSE English Online programme via Banbury and Bicester College.听
Abena said: 鈥淚 have seen my results online and I’m very pleased with them.听
鈥淚’m very grateful for my tutors and thank them for all their support over the last year. I would certainly recommend the colleges and the GCSE online courses to other people.鈥�听
Abena will now start an Access to Medicine programme.听
Kerrie Wood achieved a Grade 6 in her GCSE English online programme and a Grade 6 in her GCSE听Maths online programme via Banbury and Bicester College. 听
Kerrie said: 鈥淚 am over the moon with my results, I am really pleased. I鈥檇 like to say to my teachers, thank you so much for all of your support and enthusiasm!听
“I would absolutely recommend the college to others for studying their GCSEs. I think that anybody who didn’t achieve a pass at maths and English should go for it no matter how old they are or where they are in life. I’ve had fantastic tutors and excellent support throughout.听
Kerrie will now go on to study her remaining GCSE qualifications and plans to apply to flight school to finish her commercial pilot training next summer.听

鈥淢any of our students come to us each year often lacking in confidence and self-belief having not always achieved the grades they are capable of, and this is still particularly true of these learners who experienced massive disruption caused to their learning by the pandemic. 听听
鈥淲hich is why I鈥檓 delighted to see that as a group we鈥檝e see 576 of our learners improve on their previous grade in English and 642 learners improve on their grade in maths across our group of colleges.听听听
鈥淭his year we had more learners coming to us at the lower end of the grade boundaries, who were in need of a grade 4 to progress onto their next opportunity. Through our听dedicated approach to teaching and learning, where students receive wrap-around support from staff who work with them individually, building their confidence, developing their knowledge and skills through our Learning Philosophy-based teaching. This is then supplemented with a range of online and AI-assisted technology. Our unique approach to learning enables our students to flourish and achieve the grades to which they aspire.听听

This year, 成人论坛 is providing information, advice and guidance via Clearing sessions at their colleges in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey from GCSE Results Day, and throughout the end of August and September. Tutors and career advisors will be on hand to help anyone who is unsure as to what to do next after GCSEs and can also provide advice on funding and other student support services.听听
